Meet Dr. Di Jiang
Being a dentist allows me to make a meaningful impact on my patients’ lives. Whether I’m improving their health, boosting their social confidence, or simply helping them feel at ease, I find it incredibly rewarding to know that my work, compassion, and understanding truly make a difference. Building strong relationships with my patients and being part of their journey has been the most fulfilling aspect of my career.
My journey in dentistry began at China Medical University, where I earned my dental degree and master’s degree in 1987 and 1993. I then practiced and taught dentistry at Dalian Medical University for nearly nine years. After moving to the United States, I completed a two-year master’s program in oral medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where I was honored to receive the Mark Diamond Fund and the American College of Prosthodontists/Procter & Gamble Research Fellowship in Complete Denture Prosthodontics.
In Michigan, I worked as a researcher in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry before completing a three-year master’s program in Restorative Dentistry in 2008. Today, I am proud to serve as an adjunct faculty member, clinical lecturer, and instructor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, sharing my knowledge and passion with the next generation of dental professionals.
I’m passionate about lifelong learning and continually expanding my skills to deliver the best possible care. Dentistry keeps me engaged, whether I’m learning from my patients, collaborating with colleagues, or teaching students. Staying up to date on advancements in dentistry is a priority, as it allows me to provide state-of-the-art, personalized care that improves lives.
Ann Arbor has been my home for nearly 30 years. My husband is a researcher at the University of Michigan, my daughter is an orthodontist in Seattle, and my son is a graduate student in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, set to graduate this spring.
In my free time, I love traveling, hiking, jogging, and practicing yoga or Zumba.
